Software FAQ
Q: Do I have to use all the memory before I can upload data?
A: No, at any time an acquisition can be stopped and the available data uploaded.
To stop the acquisition click the "stop acquire" icon or turn the power off.
Remember, the memory management tab allows you to specify the number of
samples to be taken.
Q: The Input Configuration Card is not selectable when I activate Multi-Meter?
A: When activated, Multi-Meter and PC-Recorder detect the card that is installed in the unit.
To use a different card simply install that card and re-activate Multi-Meter or PC-Recorder.
Remember to turn the power off - prior to switching cards.
Q: Can I secure my data even if I did not select the Security option?
A: Yes, after acquiring your data turn the power off. Then remove the
Input Configuration Card. The unit will not "re-start" without a valid card.

Q: How can I tell if an Input Configuration Card has the options and performance I need?A: Simply download the Input Configuration Card file and try selecting your options.
Q: Do I need a battery if I am using the AC wall adapter?
A: No you don't need a battery. However, for long acquisition periods the battery can serve as
a backup in case the AC wall adapter loses power.
Q: I need a longer serial cable?
A: The serial cable is made from standard 4-wire RJ11 (telephone cord). The maximum length
will vary depending on the "electrical noise" environment. Remember, RJ11 cord is
commonly available in 2-wire and 4-wire configuration. The 4-wire RJ11 is required.
